2024 EcoFair Toronto – Food Drive
The generosity of attendees, exhibitors, and volunteers, made it possible for EcoFair Toronto to donate almost $500 cash, and many boxes and bags of groceries to the Stop Community Food Centre. For over 40 years, The Stop has worked to increase access to healthy food in Toronto. This donation was especially needed because food bank use in the GTA reached an unprecedented high.
“On behalf of our entire team, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the EcoFair for their incredible support of The Stop this year. Your commitment … reinforces the importance of coming together to fight hunger and protect our planet. Thank you for making a difference!” – Shae London, Executive Director, The Stop Community Food Centre www.thestop.org
2024 EcoFair Toronto – Sock Drive
Thanks to generous EcoFair attendees, exhibitors and volunteers, EcoFair volunteers were able to deliver 236 pairs of socks to the Executive Director of Na-Me-Res, Steve Teekens. He was delighted to receive them on behalf of everyone at Na-Me-Res.
We were happy to offer this support to Na-Me-Res. Na-Me-Res helps Indigenous men in Toronto with temporary, transitional and permanent housing. Na-Me-Res takes care of the whole person with their Indigenous cultural-based approach filled with respect and spirit. www.nameres.org
