Knowledge Sharing EcoTour Bike Ride Along the Humber Ravine

This in-life bike tour helps connect residents to Toronto’s green space. Knowledge sharing along the Humber trail includes the Toronto’s climate action plan TransformTO, environmental sciences, indigenous history of the land, and digital scavenger hunts. 

“Knowledge Sharing EcoTour Bike Ride Along the Humber Ravine” is a project of TransformTO’s Ward 5 Climate Action Champion, Sofija Theodorou. 

On the bike tour you will: 

  • learn how to access your own free carbon calculators
  • connect to Toronto’s green space 
  • learn indigenous history along the trail and get to know hidden plaques describing native reserves that were once there
  • get to know about the City’s:
    • Live Green Toronto initiatives 
    • waste/water management 
    • plans to lower CO2 emissions in Toronto and how that relates to the Paris Agreement
  • do digital scavenger hunts with Google Lens app, get to identify 3 native and 3 invasive species 
  • learn about the biking communities and initiatives in Toronto

This bike ride is rated moderate in difficulty

Must be 18 years of age or older and any participants younger must be accompanied by an adult.
